Unique Soul

There I was, standing in a meadow, starring at the colorful rainbow. Flowers, of all colors, blue, purple, yellow, orange, blue, green, pink even the colors in between. I starred closely at the tree’s, blowing like crazy; ballet dancers dancing to the nut cracker resembled the tree’s. Everything here was magical, unlike anything ever known. I walked through the meadow and laid in the middle, wishing that all the problems in my life were like this meadow. Peaceful and simple. Although the funny thing was, my life was normal. The problems I had to face were the ones I made.

I drifted slowly into a slumber, waking when something wet landed on me. At that moment, I sprung up and looked around, the meadow was being washed. All the colors that made this meadow were being washed away with the rain. Until suddenly the floor was a brown color; the meadow had blended and the tree’s were dying. Fires went rapid and spread through the meadow like crazy. Then just like it started it ended, but following this tragedy came darkness. What was happening here? A loud thunder bang went BOOM and I jolted awake. It was only a dream. I woke up and looked around the room. Not even morning yet. Just darkness, so I would wait for the morning to come. For hours I waited and waited, but the morning never came.

After hours of sitting in one place I became stiff and numb, slowly and steadily I walked out of my room and down the hall, pacing myself for the stairs. When I arrived to the stairs I sat and rolled down, as soon as my feet touched the bottom I stood up. Around me was a large crowd of people, I knew each one. My neighbors the Trozel’s stood with their whole family, even the people who lived next to them were there. A total of 23 people were in our house, good thing, our house was the largest of them all.

My mother sat at the kitchen table, she explained the sun went out. We had all the neighbors gather at our home, bring all their supplies they had and stay here. She said it would be better this way. Next thing on the list, now that all the people were here, But something over every window and every door, but one. Just in case we had to get out or something. Why was this so similar like to me?
“My dream mother! This is just like my dream!” I shouted
“What!?!?” She responded in a tone, that tone made me think hard.
“Next is fires mom, this isn’t safe!” I whispered
Suddenly smoke filled the house and beepers went off. A person shouted “Fire!” and the house went wild. Children screamed adults ran, people broke the windows, all in the calm house turned into chaos. I could hear my parents talking, but couldn’t make out what they were saying.
“It was true; everything she had dreamed is happening.” My mother gasped

TO BE CONTUINED…

  1. This is definitely a nightmare -- all apocalytic stories scare me. You have a lovely contrast set up between the beauty of the meadow and the destruction of fire. Excellent word choice.
